You will have no doubt seen, in the media, much reporting on a newly emerging drug commonly referred to as 'Bubble'. The chemical name is Mephedrone bit it may also be referred to as 'Miaow Miaow'
We are aware that there have been some isolated incidents of young people using this drug within the UK.
As a precaution, we have put together some useful information for you, so that you can be aware of what to look for and what the dangers are, should you have any concerns.
Usage
- It is usually sold in a powder form

It is normally of a white, or off-white, crystalline appearance
- It could appear in tablet form
- It is usually 'snorted' or swallowed
The Effects
- Euphoria
- Heightened state of alertness
- Increased
talkativeness
- Hallucinations
The Risks
- Very bad reactions when mixed with alcohol
- Serious nose bleeds and mouth ulcers
- Severe headache
- Hallucinations
- Vomiting
- Blood circulations problems
- Mania
- Coma
- Mental health problems
- Highly addictive
- Death - there have been 3 reported deaths linked to Mephedrone use within the UK
