Attendance

At Fleetwood High School we place great value on students having good records of attendance. Research shows that regular attendance is a key factor contributing to academic success and, of course, students who are often absent miss out on much of the important social side of School life.

Attendance in each lesson is recorded electronically by staff. This enables us to monitor closely the attendance of every student and respond rapidly to any absence. We also operate an automated “First Day Response” to all absence.

Those students who have very good attendance records have their achievements recognised and are rewarded in a variety of ways.

In 2007-2008 Attendance Rates were as follows:
Percentage of sessions of authorised absence 10.4 %
Percentage of sessions of unauthorised absence 2.9 %
